British Sea Power played two special gigs over the weekend, at High Rocks on Friday and Grasmere Village Hall on Saturday. They included the first live airing of forthcoming album track Oh Larsen B, as well as a brand new track of Hamilton’s, titled Don’t You Want To Be A Bird?.

A tour of North America has been confirmed for April and May. They include confirmation of the Coachella Festival on 1st May, as rumoured here last month. The release of the Open Season album has been delayed until 4th April 2005, and the single – It Ended On An Oily Stage – will now be released on the 21st March.

MTV are reporting that British Sea Power have been confirmed for the Coachella Festival this year. The event takes place on the 30th April and 1st May 2005.

It Ended On An Oily Stage will be released as a single on 7th March. Can’t say I’m too impressed by the title changes, but having heard all but two of the album’s tracks (albeit upon the live stage), I have to say it’s gonna be a corker…
